More morning light...
Walking to work in the morning...this is a small church that was converted into a home. I really would like see the inside and how they used the large open space. It looks like it is bright and sunny inside. There are quite a few churches that have been converted into homes and I always imagine the prayers that were said all the years it was a church hanging around in the rafters.
I like the way the shadow of the tree cuts across the face of the building.

Morning light...
The morning light seems softer than the light of evening. It's that first light touching the world and you're awake and it all feels like morning. (As it is.) I wonder if there is a physical, as in scientific, difference, or is it just that I know it's morning and as opposed to evening.
Or, maybe it's the fact that here the sun is coming up over the lake. Although I could look this up, I sort of like just wondering about it; it leaves some mystery to my day.

Cool things to do at the library...
You can write the call number in books, on the back of the title page, officially called the t.p verso...
You can go to the Conservation Lab and use the giant paper cutter...
You can look at old books...
This is the first U.S. Census, where they counted everyone in the country...since then they feel they need to count more than just individuals...
You can push books trucks around...

Barbara Hepworth
A self portrait of artist Barbara Hepworth, a British sculptor (sculptress?). Her work became well known in the 50s (somehow I'm currently stuck time here). Her work is abstract and usually a contrast between open and closed shapes, heavy and light elements. I was surprised to find this self portrait because it is so painterly. I really like the texture and lines; their loopy ease opposite the intensity of her eyes.
