A Fall Day

Stopping by the lake front last weekend on a rainy day.

Foggy evening on the way home...

I really like the ethereal and abstract quality of the dark tree trunks and the gray fog.

A few winter mornings...

I used some overlays from the Digital Scrapbook Place to enhance the photos. In away it is sort of funny because it is very popular to take, or "enhance" photos to look old or even better, to look like badly taken pictures. Oh, all those years of trying to help people take better snapshots!
Anyway, it's a lot of fun.

Fall colors

Waiting for the bus home the other night, I got caught up in watching the leaves and branches of this tree moving in the wind. It was very calming, even mesmerizing.

And then, last night while waiting, I caught the clouds moving slowly overhead. I like it when the clouds are low and it feels like you can almost touch the sky.

Blue July 1

Home away from home

I love being at home. Being a Cancer, (ie: crabby), I guess that all fits. Over the kitchen sink is mounted a serving plater that belonged to my grandmother. It is an old blue transfer pattern piece that has a larger idyllic country scene, ringed with flowers on the border. When I do the dishes or make dinner I love looking at, so I know it well. This small part is my home away from home.
